Bristol-Plymouth Regional School Library

Mission Statement

The library strives to provide materials that support the student’s academic assignments as well as encourage pleasure reading. We also have a widely varied collection of magazine subscriptions including titles such as Seventeen, Automobile, Time and Field & Stream.

Library Policies

Students may borrow up to five items at a time. Books are checked out for a three week period. Most items can be renewed twice.

Overdue notices are sent out twice per month. Failure to return or renew materials after two notifications will result in student’s name being forwarded to the administration and a bill that reflects the replacement cost of the book will be sent home to parents/guardian. Library borrowing privileges are suspended until the student has cleared his/her obligation.

Students may come to the library before and after school as well as throughout the day with a pass from the lunchroom, classroom or shop.

Library Hours

The library is open for service on all days that school is in session during regular school hours, 7:30-2:15 for the student and faculty use subject to the regulations set forth by the librarian and principal. The before and after school homework help program is offered in the library. The morning session is every morning Monday – Friday from 6:30am to 7:30am. The afternoon session is Monday-Thursday from 2:15pm to 3:45pm. There is no librarian working during the after school session. No library materials may be checked out during this program.
