    Wrestling

    Congratulations to the wrestling team for a 72-10 victory over Southeast Regional. Winning B-P wrestlers were Noah Gendreau, Tommy Kelleher, Austin MacArthur, Jack Joyce, Tyler Pelletier, Chris Fernandez, Brett Donovan, Sean Fagan, and Sean Mello.

  • DECA

    The DECA meeting originally scheduled for today is cancelled due to the half day.  Our next meeting is on Monday, Dec 17th!
     
    The DECA club is sponsoring a Pasta Dinner tomorrow, here at B-P at 6pm. All proceeds are to benefit Homes For Our Troops!  There will be a craft and card making station so kids can make holiday cards for Veterans.  Please see Mrs. Karamanian or a DECA member for your ticket.  We appreciate your support!

  • Ugly Sweater Contest

    Do you own an ugly sweater? Do you like to win prizes? Compete in the ugly sweater contest Friday, December 21st! In order to compete, tickets must be purchased Wednesday, December 19th - Friday, December 21st in the morning outside of the main office. The cost is $2.00 for students and $3.00 for faculty & staff.

  • Parent Council Fundraiser

    If you plan on giving gift cards for the Holidays, consider buying them through the parent council fundraiser! Funds will help provide senior students with scholarships to continue on with their trade or continuing education. MORE INFO

  • Literary Magazine

    The Literary Magazine "The Scribe" is available for purchase at the school store. Inside you will find artwork, poems, movie reviews, and short fiction from BP's finest student artists and writers. The book makes a great holiday gift and can be yours for $2.00. Please support the Literary Arts Club today!

  • Toy Drive

    Student Council is sponsoring a toy drive for needy youth in the Taunton area. If you would like to donate, take a tag from the tree near the main entrance and return the wrapped gift to the tree by December 19th.

  • Community Service

    The community service club will be selling Candy grams at all lunches until Thursday December 20th, candy canes are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 The candy grams will be delivered to home rooms on Friday morning. 

     

    Tomorrow will be the last day for the winter wear drive, check your closet one more time and help keep someone warm this winter!

  • MCAS Preparation Support

    The MCAS Support program will be meeting after school every Tuesday through Thursday in the library. After signing in for "MCAS Support" in the library, please proceed to room 253 for English support on Tuesdays, room 655 for Math support on Wednesdays, and room 254 for Biology support on Thursdays.

  • SAT Prep

    Attention Juniors: B-P has partnered with Lentz & Lentz to offer an 8 week SAT prep program. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays 6pm-9pm, beginning in March. The cost of the program is $370, scholarships are available for students on free/reduced lunch. For more information, please reach out to your guidance counselor.

    Are you in Freshmen or Sophomore who is in search of a unique opportunity to pass the time this summer? Have you ever wanted to take a course in forensics, robotics, photography, theater, sports or aviation science? Does taking a course in “Last Comic Standing” or “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” intrigue you? If you answered yes to any of these questions or just like meeting new people, then Project Contemporary Competitiveness, better known as PCC, might be a great option for you! If you want to learn more about the summer experience please come to guidance to sign up for the information session on December 19 th OR see 9th grade counselor, Mr. Montesano, for more details.

    Join us for our next yearbook club meeting on Wednesday, 12/19.
     
    Attention seniors: look for the yearbook superlative voting sheet in homeroom this Friday - vote for who you think has the best car, best eyes, etc. Please return your voting sheets to room 254 by Friday, 12/21 - if Mrs. Bisch is not available, there will be a box outside of room 254 that you can drop your sheet into.
     
    Send your favorite quotes and/or baby pictures for the yearbook to craftsmen@bptech.org or see Mrs. Bisch with any questions.

    BSU (Bridgewater State University) is hosting its first FAFSA filing day on Sunday, 1/13/2019 from 1–3PM in the Moakley Center, 100 Burrill Ave, Bridgewater, MA.  Families can drop in to receive hands-on assistance filing their FAFSA.  Parents should bring copies of their 2017 Federal Income Tax Returns (for both parents and student).

  • Scholarships
    Attention Juniors: The SCS Noonan Scholarship started in the Los Angeles area and has begun outreach to students in Boston within the past 5 years.  Now, they are interested in supporting students across the state.  The scholarship is for students who  are high achieving and under-represented in college.  It offers supported summer learning opportunities for students in both their junior and senior years of high school to assist with the college application, admission, and transition process.  All activities associated with the program are offered to selected students at no cost to the student or district.  Hoping that there may be some high achieving students who can benefit from the kind of supports this scholarship offers.   The contact for the scholarship is:

    All Students the National youth safety Essay/Video Essay scholarship contest will be available soon to all students age 13 or older.  CareerSafe is excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity for students.  Students are encouraged to write or record an essay describing how their OSHA 10-hour card has made an impact in the way they recognize hazards and how it will benefit their future.  Contest begins Jan 1st.
