Bristol-Plymouth’s Plumbing Program offers you expert training in a modern and challenging residential and commercial setting, enabling you to understand complex systems of pipes and fixtures and attain the specialized skills required to achieve success in this vital profession. You’ll engage in meaningful real world projects in a wooden structure as well as a commercial steel structure.

Program of Study
Freshman and Sophomore Years: Safety and installation practices, plumbing traps, valves and devices, materials, tools, and joining methods, math, introduction to plumbing code.
Junior Year: Drainage and venting, blueprint reading, advanced code, water supply systems, fixture installation, co-op opportunities.
Senior Year: Water heating methods and hydronic heating, review and reinforcement, senior project, gas code, co-op opportunities.

Additional Information
All training is in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plumbing Code and the National Fire Protection Agency Fuel Gas Code. Code and installation methodology is supported using the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. All shop and theory hours will be credited as you work toward the Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber’s license exam. The essential nature of properly functioning plumbing systems ensures a consistent demand for highly skilled plumbers across the country. Upon graduating, you’ll be on your way to joining generations of plumbers who have adopted the proud motto: “Plumbers protect the health of the nation.”
