Collision Technology is among the country’s fastest growing industries, providing well-trained technicians with excellent job opportunities and career advancement prospects. Bristol-Plymouth’s Collision Technology Program will train you to restore damaged vehicles using modern technical methods and specialized, industry-standard equipment. You’ll receive specialized training in all facets of the restoration process including metalworking, welding, sanding, filling, straightening, repainting and refinishing the inside and the outside of the vehicle, as well as learning the vital skill of cost estimation. Graduating from this program will equip you with the skills needed to achieve success in the exciting career of your dreams.

Program of Study

Freshman Year: Orientation to tools, basic shop safety and operation, basic sheet metal, fiberglass, plastic repair, basic paint refinishing techniques, basic welding.

Sophomore Year: Introduction to technical theory, damage analysis, estimate writing, glass installation, color/texture matching, unibody and frame straightening.

Junior Year: Implementing and refining all technical aspects, non-structural and structural analysis, mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repair/replacement of mechanical and electrical components.

Senior Year: Independent skills from estimate to finished product, business operations, frame and unit body measurement, advanced welding and metal cutting, insurance industry.
