Tour

Instructed Areas

  • Milling, Turning, Drilling and Grinding Methods
  • Manufacturing Processes
  • CAD Software
  • 3D and Solid Modeling
  • CAM Software
  • CNC Programming and Operation
  • NIMS Certifications
  • OSHA 10-Hour Safety Credentials

Program of Study

Freshman Year: Students will learn to make/read basic prints, use measuring equipment and understand the fundamentals of machining. The time they spend in the related classroom to learn this, coupled with their shop time, will reward them with the knowledge of always knowing how to safely run this equipment.

Sophomore Year: Students will continue to develop the drafting and machining skills required for the manufacturing industry. They will be accomplished in 3D modeling and use of all manual machines in the shop to produce an actual product.

Junior Year: Students will continue to advance their knowledge of design through prototyping parts, followed by producing more intricate parts using CNC machines. Their knowledge will be validated through passing the NIMS test online.

Senior Year: Students will hone their skills by working with customers with real life jobs to transition from high school to the work place or continuing on to post-secondary education.
