Clinical Information

Clinical Site Locations:

Clinical instruction is planned to allow the student opportunities to integrate theory into practice and to perform the skills required to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Students are placed in a variety of settings which include Long Term Care (LTC), Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Schools, Physician offices, and Community Settings. Note: the clinical affiliation list is subject to change. Current Nursing Program clinical affiliations include:

     - Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, Nurse’s Office, Taunton, MA
     - Child and Family Services, New Bedford, MA

     - Early Intervention, Taunton, MA 

     - Hannah B. G. Shaw Home, Middleboro, MA

     - Hawthorn Medical Associates, Dartmouth, MA

     - LifeCare Center of Raynham, Raynham, MA

     - Middleboro Pediatrics, Lakeville, MA

     - Morton Hospital, Taunton, MA

     - Southeastern Residential Services (SRS), Taunton, MA

     - Sturdy Health, Attleboro, MA

     - Taunton State Hospital, Taunton, MA

     - Vibra Hospital of Southeastern MA, New Bedford MA

 

Students are responsible for their own transportation and are required to travel to any of the clinical sites Bristol-Plymouth Practical Nurse Program is affiliated with. 

Clinical Requirements:

Common clinical requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

     - Dementia Training
     - Tuberculosis Testing yearly 
     - Flu vaccine yearly
     - Covid vaccine - per CDC Recommendations; per clinical site
     - BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification

     - Background check: CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sexual          Offender Registry Information) 

     - Drug Screen yearly (cost for testing will be the responsibility of the student)
     - Centralized Clinical Placement (CCP) online orientation yearly
