Post-Secondary Practical Nurse

Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School offers a Practical Nurse Program which is fully approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Graduation from the Practical Nurse Program qualifies the student to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing regulations require Practical Nurse programs to publish information about the program, including then number of graduates in each class and annual PN NCLEX pass rate for first time testers:

Full-Time Day Program:

• The full-time day program begins every September and runs for ten months (forty weeks).
• Class is in session Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 
• Clinical hours take place on specified days (Monday through Friday) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 
• Enrollment is OPEN for the next full-time program beginning in September 2025.  Applications may be submitted beginning on October 1, 2024 and will be accepted until class is fully seated (no given deadline).  

Part-Time Evening Program:

• The part-time evening program runs for twenty months (eighty weeks) over the course of two years and begins every other September.
• Class is in session Monday through Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m. 
• Clinical hours take place on specified days (Monday through Wednesday) from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 
• Enrollment is OPEN for the next part-time program beginning in September 2025. Applications may be submitted beginning on October 1, 2024 and will be accepted until class is fully seated (no given deadline). 

ATI TEAS Assessment Exam Schedule: (in person at the Practical Nurse Program Building)

• January 22nd @ 9:00 a.m. (This date is no longer available for new registrations.)
• February 18th @ 9:00 a.m.   (This date is no longer available for new registrations.)
• March 20th @9:00 a.m. (This date is no longer available for new registrations.)
