Depending on the demands of their other course work, students can take up to two years of Spanish where they become familiar with the fundamentals of conversational Spanish as well as key features of Latino culture as it is found in different areas of the globe.

Grade 11
Introdution to Spanish I
Spanish I is the first of a two-part foreign language program offered as an elective. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to speak, read, write and understand this modern language. This program integrates the study of language and the study of culture, which includes daily life, history, literature, visual and performing arts, mathematics, and science in order to create a link to all other disciplines.
Grade 12
Introduction to Spanish II
Spanish II is the second of a two-part foreign language program as an elective to students in grade 12 who have successfully completed Spanish I. Upon successful completion of this course, students will speak, read, write and understand this modern language. Communication, cultures, comparisons, connections, and communities are addressed in the classroom to meet state standards. This program integrates the study of language with the study of culture, which includes daily life, history, literature, visual and performing arts, mathematics, and science in order to create a link to all other disciplines.
