DEAR ACADEMIC AND VOCATIONAL TEACHERS,
I am currently conducting research on the Impact of Educator Licensure Pathways on
Student Achievement as part of my Ed.S. coursework through Bridgewater State University. You
are invited to participate in this study because as teachers at a vocational high school, many of us
come from various professional and academic backgrounds and bring a wide array of strengths to
our academic or vocational classrooms. The survey, which can be accessed (see above), asks a few
questions about your individual pathway to obtaining your teaching license in Massachusetts and
shouldn’t take any longer than five minutes to complete.
Your responses will be confidential and the form is not collecting identifying information
such as your name, email address, or IP address. All data is stored in a password protected
electronic format. To help protect your confidentiality, the surveys will not contain information
that will personally identify you. The results of this study will be used for scholarly purposes only
and may be shared with Bridgewater State University representatives.
This research has been reviewed according to Bridgewater State University IRB
procedures to ensure safety and confidentiality of participants. If you have any questions, please
don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-965-1009.
Thank you for your help, and enjoy your much deserved holiday break.Carmen AmaralScience Department Chair, SERSD
