American Sign Language Club

“I’ve always wanted to learn sign language,” they said wistfully… well, here’s your chance!

The American Sign Language Club is led by our Deaf students that attend the READS Collaborative @ BP Tech. This club provides a fun and safe space to make friends and learn about Deaf culture and language from other Deaf teenagers. Topics vary weekly depending on student interest, and include the alphabet, numbers, animals, emergency, holidays, etc. ASL Club typically meets on campus Wednesdays, 2:30-3:30, starting mid-October through mid-May (schedule subject to change, please see Google classroom or daily announcements for current information.)

For more details, watch out for flyers posted in the fall and join our Google classroom. For anything else, you may contact the advisor/interpreter, Laura Martinez lmartinez@bptech.org /READS office ext. 155.
