STUDENT SERVICES

Guidance

The Guidance Department gives academic, technical and personal support to help all B-P students reach their potential. Counselors provide opportunities for students to explore their options for careers, postsecondary education and military service in an understanding and helpful atmosphere, and when appropriate, they encourage participation by parents and teachers. Counselors meet with students, assist them in setting goals and monitor their progress.

We provide career counseling to assist students in their transition to either the world of work or postsecondary education. The Guidance Office maintains a library of current college catalogues and applications. An annual financial aid night provides valuable information to parents.

The Guidance staff maintains a close relationship with area social service agencies in order to assist both parents and students who are in need. Counselors are both certified and trained in a variety of counseling areas so they can support any student including those who may be in crisis.
