If you find the inside of a computer more intriguing than the outside and are fascinated by electronic devices, this program could be perfect for you! Students develop a thorough understanding of computers and their peripherals along with networks. They learn to analyze, construct and calibrate electronic devices, developing the expertise needed to become electronics technicians.

Facilities

State of the art computer networking lab including wired and wireless networking and Internet technologies employing the latest Microsoft and Cisco products and technologies. Students are assigned personal workstations and also build their own test tools. Modern work area equipped with computers and software, oscilloscopes, power supplies and digital and analog meters.

Recipe for Success

Begin with a student who possesses good reading and math skills, mix in manual dexterity and a measure of abstract and mechanical reasoning ability. Add an interest in electronics problem-solving, computers, and the Internet to produce a well- prepared graduate who is ready for a variety of good paying careers.

The computer and networking industry is one of the fastest growing fields and graduates are in demand. Computer & Network Technology students develop skills that prepare them well for a variety of challenging positions. Graduates can continue their education in a pre-engineering college program; through Tech Prep, some obtain college credits for work completed at Bristol-Plymouth.
